Like most, we’re keeping an eye on the latest developments concerning the COVID-19 outbreak and the impact it’s having on our community. First and foremost, our thoughts go out to you and everyone who’s lives have been – and will be – impacted during this difficult time.
Although our business serves many clients deemed essential, the economic impacts of the virus are affecting us. Due to our flexible work policies, many OpenSquare team members are working from home as health permits and we have reduced most employees work schedule to 4 days per week. Please feel free to reach out to our leadership team, account managers, designers, and project managers by phone or email and they’ll be able to connect and collaborate virtually through video meetings.
Many of our employees work onsite at your locations and we are taking a number of steps to protect you and them, from enhanced cleaning to social distancing, practicing good hygiene, and additional protective gear when necessary. We have also implemented an enhanced leave policy so anyone who feels ill or needs to self quarantine due to a potential exposure will not be financially impacted by needing to do so.
Many of our clients have a significant portion of their employees currently working from home. Given this situation, we are being asked to perform work that is challenging to do with employees in the area (cleaning, reconfigurations, changes to public spaces and meeting rooms, etc..) Following the steps outlined above, we can certainly support these types of requests. If you have a request of this type, please reach out to your OpenSquare contact. Our project managers and schedulers are working directly with clients to adjust schedules, etc..
I would ask, if you have implemented any new site requirements at your location, please let your OpenSquare contact know. This way we can inform the rest of our team and be sure we are following the requirements specific to your site.
Our goal is to stay as efficient and available as possible, continuing to work with our vendor partners and pushing through orders as long as those partners are able to receive and process them. Most importantly, we hope you stay safe and healthy. If there is anything we can do to support you, please let us know.
